INTERVIEWS AND BAPTISM

Paul and Tony were to be baptized and Elder Moon

needed to interview them for that.

He interviewed Paul in Manyatta and then the 

next day we rook the Elder to Vihiga to interview Tony.

After the intervieew we were invited to take tea with him.

Godfrey ios a friend who talked to Tony abiout the

Church and had him meet with the missionaries..

Good member missionary work!!

When we left Tony's home we stopped at Godfrey's home and 

gave a spiritual message to him and his father.

MASENO WITH PONGE

November 22, 2013

We learned of some members in Maseno that we had not

met so we made arrangements to visit them.

We had no phone number for Richard so 

we invited Brother Ponge to go with us to his place.

We gave a message about building our

lives on Christ and His teachings.

and after the visit to him Brother Ponge said he would

visit the others with us. 

I didn't take pictures at Richard's home but we had 

a very good visit there with his wife,

daughter and granddaughter and son.

 We then wen to visit Sister Mbalanya. She lives in the south

part of Luanda just north of Maseno.

We had a great visit here. She was baptized  in Oklahoma and

had a great experience there. She now attends another 

church sometimes because it is closer.

She bore a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 She showed us her bore hole well and told us of her 

experience if getting water for her use. 

The hole goes down about 75 feet.

She is sitting on the cement coveriing and see the white bucket

on a rope that she hangs down in the hole to bring up water.

When we left her home we went to Maseno and visited 

Brother David and his wife and daughters.

 Brother David, Sister Beatrice, and two daughters.

We had a great discussion about our trials and used the 

experiences of Alma as a basis of the discussion.

 They lived on the top of a hill and had a beautiful vies of the

surrounding area! They are rather isolated except from his

family who lives nearby.

 His home is inthe background and the kitchen and storage

building is on the right.

LESSON WITH WILKISTAR

November 21, 2013

Marcellus and Wilkistar said they had some

friends who wanted to learn more about the church that 

they attended so we set an appointment to 

go with them to teach their friends. 

We first met with a friend of Marcellus 

- and older couple and their two sons and one 

of their families. 

We had a great lesson on the restoration.

 

We then visited Wilkistar's friend and also gave the message

on the Restoration of the Gospel. It was well received and we will

probably go back another time.

This was a great day and a time when the members 

invite the missionaries to teach friends - 

being a great

SIMION IN KISII

November 15, 2013

We went to Kisii and met with the group there.

They really want to know more about the Church.

Today we gave instruction on the 

Plan of Salvation 

and they were very receptive to the message.

We answered the questions and found that 

many of them have fair English skills.

We took Andrew the Church groundskeeper with us

as he lives nearby. It was good having him with us

as he bore testimony of the truths we taught.

Go on a mission and have these kinds of experiences!!

ZADDOCK IN NYABONDO

November 14, 2013

Following the funeral in Nyabondo the members of the Church

went to Zaddock's compound that was nearby

to eat together at his mother's home.

Zaddock first showed us his home and surroundings.

This is the grave site of his father near the home where he lived

and raised his family.

FUNERAL IN NYABONDO

November 14, 2013

A man who lives in Nyabond wanted a "Mormon"

funeral for his son so we went to do a funeral.

The first part was to be done by the family but when we 

arrived they wanted Elder Moon to be the 

Master of Ceremonies

so he passed it on to Brother Zaddock.

This kind man walked back and forth as a soldier keeping 

watch of the area. Very official looking!

We sang hymns, had an eulogy and the
Gospel taught by Elder Moon,
and prayed.

Meantime food for the guests was being prepared in a nearby tent.

How thankful I am for the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!
