CHRISTMAS DAY 2013

December 25, 2013
Our Christmas Celebration was planned by
President and Sister Hicken. The missionaries from
Kisumu and Busia came to our home for celebration and food.
Most of all they came to bear witness of the Savior and His birth
and Atonement. We were all strengthened and
learned together.
Together we watched some Church Christmas movies.
We each bore our testimony of the Savior and His birth and
Atonement.
It was a day that will highlight our mission experience here in Kenya.
We gathered around the table for a scrumptious feat together.
(How could I not have seen the garbage there?!)
Sister Namugaya, Sister Chipfuwamiti, Elder Jackson,
Elder Nyambita, Elder Elliott, Elder Balls.
At the end we had a gift exchange.
Sister Chipfuwamiti received a beautiful beaded necklace.
Elder Nyambita received a Kenyan shirt.
Sister Namugaya received a watch.
WHAT! Elder Jackson received some
girl socks!?...
NO! It's a beaded belt!!
Elder Elliott received a Kenyan shirt.
Missionary twinners!
Elder Balls with a bottle of cologne.
Each missonary also received a stocking stuffed with some
essientials for daily life. Only two of these missionaries had ever
had a "Christmas stocking" and half had never heard of one.

What a wonderful day.
Friendships forged and testimonies strengthened
as we honored the Savior and His
humble and Atoning Sacrifice.
