KARUNGU AT LAKE VICTORIA

December 23, 2013
KARUNGU

After we left the new home on Charles and Susan
we went south to the Lake Victoria
We were told it was only about 5 kilometers but we
travel closer to 25!
Nets were being put out to dry in the bright sunshine.
These animals are walking over the nets eating the insects and
bugs from the lake attached to the nets.
The boys onthe right are scoopingup the bugs fromthe ground that
have come off the nets. They put them in the baskets and take
them home to feed their chickens or they will sale them to
others to feed their animals.
These fishing nets are really large.
I can well imagine the fishermen, Peter and others along the
Lake at the time of Jesus cleaning and drying their nets.
Life along the banks of Lake Victoria.
Sailboat near the shore.
Children taking water from the lake to their homes for use.
Women visiting in the afternoon shade.
Playing and washing in the water.
Water is usually so fun!

Barge near the dock.
What a good day and beautiful area!!
