TO NAIROBI

June 11, 2013
We went to Nairobi for some training with the
Seminary and Institute to help Elder Moon
with the work he does here with the classes and teachers.
We took a southern route through Litein, Bomet and Narok.
The country was beautiful and in several areas
different than any other we have seen in Kenya.
The roads were the best we have been on.
The roads were even lined and warning signs
and directional signs were also posted!!
Crops on the hill sides,
Donkeys are very useful!!
Cacti plants used for fencing.
All along the area for many kilometers there
were bags like this on the roadside.
Waiting to be taken someplace for sale or
to be sold from here,
Flat land and we could see for kilometers!!
Flat, dry and dusty.
Looks more like our preconceptions of Kenya/Africa.
I think this is the street in Bomet....
Good size load for a vehicle.
A water tank.
Interesting building we saw near Kericho.
Someday it may be completed.
 Gorgeous scenery/
Building we saw in one of the towns we passed through.
Candelabra tree
Not only lined trees but even with a passing lane!!
Olive baboons along the roadside.
"Guess I'll wait for the next matatu.."
This guy was sitting on top of the sign...
 until I raised my camera!!
Acacia trees dot the flat landscape.

 Earth satellites near Longonot.
Road repair....shovel and muscle.
There is always a boss.... on the road crew.
Tea fields and the rood roofed buildings are the
workers homes.
