Elder Moon does a lot with the
Seminary and Institute
in Busia and Kisumu.
He collects and submits the attendance
and assignments. He also does
in service training for the teachers.
As such we were invited to the semi-annual
training for the S&I missionaries.
It was held at the Serena Hotel in
Kilaguni Camp in Tsavo West National Park.
We were excited for the training because the
directors were coming from South Africa
and the safari was a bonus.
As we drove from Nairobi to the park we
saw some very different landscape than what we had seen
so far in Kenya.
More flat, dryer, lest foliage.
One of the villages we passed through.
Beautiful scenery!!
Mountain remains of a volcano.
Dry areas.
Markets along the way.
So many fruits and veggies!!
Park entrance.
KARIBUNI
You are all welcome.
Including us!!
Huge cacti at the entrance.

Can you see the baboons welcoming us
to the Man Eaters Gift Shop?
Dining area at the Lodge.
The "wall" to the right is open and has seating that
overlooks the landscape and two ponds that animals
will come to drink and relax.
A center divider in the dining area.
Food serving area.
Swimming pool at the Serena Lodge.
Volcano mount in the park.
Lava from volcano.
Park scenery.
Pond from the viewing veranda.
