This building was being built using concrete.
Notice to the right a man behind the supports is reaching for
a pan of concrete. He then took the pan, climbed the ladder
and dumped the concrete down the solid tower.
The concrete was being mixed by hand on the ground and
then lifted by pulled in a big tub up the level where it was needed.
Also note the poles used as braces for the floor of the second level!!
This is a LOAD!!
This is furniture bought from a furniture manufacturer
at the side of the road and now being taken home.
Thank goodness the man is holding it on!!
The local butcher shop!
Often hanging in the open air. Just walk up and have them
cut the piece you want to serve.
These are deep fried fish hanging on the rack.
They are fried here (in the fryers in the front
with wood as the source of heat)
at the side of the road and ready
for your dinner.
Another way to trtansport your new sitting room furniture!!
Handcart pulled along the road being wary of the
cars, trucks, boda bodas, piki pikis, tuk tuks and matatus!!

How many of you can carry poles like this?
There are two women here.
We passed this pond near an industrial area and was so surprised
to see it full of swimmers and splashers!!
I had to have a a picture so we stopped.
We were some distance away on the road and I did
not get out of the truck but they saw us and knew
the reason we had stopped.
They all immediately began shouting and waving and
putting on a good show for us.
We didn't stop long!!
