One evening Pascal called us and said he was in
the hospital with malaria.
He is a fine young man who is a member of the church
and keeps in touch with us.
He said he was doing well and the next day we
decided to go to the hospital and visit him.
We inquired of George, counselor in the BP, where
the hospital was and he said he would take us there
when he finished work.
We picked him up at his work and then went to the
hospital. We visited and Elder Moon and George
gave him a blessing.
As we took George home he asked if we would go into his home
and we were excited to go.
We had planned for quite a while to go and this was
just a "quick" stop.
It was a little towards dusk but we were able to drive
into the slum area and park near his home.
His wife has a business selling charcoal and maize in the
front of their home and she was there selling as we arrived.
This was the busiest time of the day for her as people
were coming home from their selling in the market and
with the money they received that day they would buy
charcoal to cook their night meal.
This is their home.
The door on the left is their entrance door and
behind the curtain is their bed.
Here is Everlyne, George and Moses age 6.
They are a great couple.
They surprised us with a bottle of soda that was
cold and so appreciated. It was dark before we left so
George rode with us to the road to be sure we could
get out there OK.
It was too dark to take outside pictures but he wants
us to come again and have Everlyne prepare
chipatti for us. He said, "She makes very good chipatti!"
