When we go to Busia we stay in a nice motel
Each morning they start early to do the laundry
from the rooms that have been occupied.
This morning the laundry was out early
on the lines and the yard to dry.

So glad they have grass on which
to lay the pillow cases and towels.
On Saturday afternoon after the training meetings we
went to visit Allan's family.
This is a "road" we traveled on to his home.
We had a great visit and delicious food
with Allen and his mother.
Allan is leaving in two weeks to serve a mission in
Zimbabwe Harare Mission.
The main road in Busia always is an adventure!!
Who needs a truck to haul lumber
IF they have a boda boda?!
I have no idea what is in the bags but again -
who needs a truck if you they have a boda boda?
Where are the cars to drive?
And again - who needs a truck if they have a boda boda?
We walked further along the road after the hotel
and saw this peaceful scene.
A guard beyond the fence told us this was the
water treatment ponds. This is the first one and the
water flows into four others before it is piped into the
city water system.
The area on the other side of the road from the hotel.
Love these huge trees, Very interesting ones.
A beautiful bush at the hotel.
Love the pink edges of the leaves.
A rather popular thing to do is to "catch" a ride to
wherever the truck is going.
People run to the back of a truck that has slowed and
jump on and grab a handle on the back door.
We saw these boys with two others run to catch hold of
this truck, The other two didn't catch on quickly enough
although they ran with it trying quite a distance.
These boys appeared to be about 10 I think.
Rather dangerous I would think!!
I asked some men about it here in Kisumu and
they admitted that they had tried it before.
We see a lot of things here!!
wherever the truck is going.
