On the sixth we made our monthly trip to Nyabondo
and had a good meeting with the people there.
As we pulled into the compound where the
FHE meetings are held we saw this cart
loaded with wood.
This is enough wood to heat the "mud kiln"
to fire about 350 bricks -
enough to build a two room "home".

I love the border of the walkway by the trees.
As we left the area of the meeting we took a
different road to see what else is close by....
Often we see children and others carrying water
from the water puddles of streams to their homes.
Carrying things-water jugs-on the head begins very young...

As far as we know there is not fishing waters near here
so where are the fish coming from.
Wherever we are there laundry is done
and dried in some way.

We drove into Sondu - these shops -
the took another road west that soon joined with
the Nairobi Road into Kisumu.
Roadwork as they move the presser to another area
as they were patching some potholes.

Beautiful scenery.
Many rolling hills and green everywhere!!
The rice fields we have seen grow as we pass here
each month.
Any water becomes a good place for a
car - truck washing business.
Here off to the side a tanker truck
is taking advantage of a water puddle and
someone in the car washing business.
