We have been planning a visit to Kisii for several months.
President Okila wanted to go with us so the time finally
arrived that we must go.
son had passed away in December in Nairobi and
was buried in the home compound in Kisii.
and his family. We had a good visit as we
discussed the Plan of Salvation that the
Lord has prepared for His children.
What a blessing the knowledge of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ
is in the lives of those who believe and know.
and his wife . They have been members
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
for many years and their children are also members.
They are a good family.
Some of the grandchildren.
Their home in the compound.
The "road" into their home area.
The son's home was nearby and he wanted us to visit
his home also.
This son lives in Nairobi but has a home here, also.
The building on the left
(mud and then plastered with mud and painted)
is the home and the one on the right is the kitchen
(made of mud).
The back wall of the kitchen.
This can happen to mud structures when there is
an over abundance of heavy rain fall!!
The back corner of the home was also effected by
the heavy rainfall.
We had a great visit with good people and
we were also served a delicious and filling lunch
before our return home.
