August 31 and September 1, 2013
SATURDAY

On Saturday we had auxiliary training and also Priesthood Leadership

They were all great and very informative!!
Following the Elder Jackson (fresh from the Provo MTC met
   who was a brother to
Coincidence? NO!!
Dinner was served to the members following the General meeting.
Rice and Beans and chapati and they really looked delicious.
At home we could cut cost and dish washing if we served as they did here...
no utensils only plates!!
Members lined up for the food. Many travel great distances
and hours to come so thankful for the food.
The senior couples- Elder and Sister Anderson (Eldoret),
Elder and Sister Hunter (Kitali), Elder and Sister Moon (Kisumu),
and President and Sister Hicken (Nairobi) and Elder
Mkbela (Area Seventy from South Africa) went to
dinner together at a Chinese Restaurant.
No pictures but we had a great time together!!

SUNDAY

There is no building large enough here to hold the people who came
so large tents and chairs were set in place
on the front lawn of the chapel for the Sunday meeting.
Notice the row of colored small chairs near the left for the
younger children to sit.
Sister and President Hicken and Elder Mkbela in place for the meeting.
The missionaries were seated on the stand (front porch...)
The choir from the Eldoret Branch singing the prelude music
led by a member and accompanied by sister Anderson.
They also sang other hymns for the meeting.
There was also a choir from the Kitali Branch who sang a
special number led by a young Elder.
Charity, from Nairobi, bore her testimony during the meeting,
She recently returned from a mission to Zambia.
While she was  there she met a missionary from Eldoret and
they are now engaged.
A cute couple!!
Members visiting after the meeting.
It is good when members can meet together and share
camaraderie. These people are friends but live far apart and
so see each other often.
These boys are "sharing" the flowers from the display.
These girls are the recipients of the flowers.
Pretty Young girls in Kenya!!
A girl with her sister!!

This very young man was struggling to get this stack of chairs into the
building.  He had brought them this far alone then couldn't quite
lift them again.
Elder Jackson stepped forward to help him up the step.
