Transfers were this week and none of the missionaries
had been to the Impala Sanctuary so we all went
after lunch at our home.
In the parking area was a stream and Elder Arineitwe
wanted to be the first picture of the day.
The leopard had just been given his dinner!!
After dining on the red meat what is better than a
nice refreshing drink of water warmed by the hot sun.
The African or Cape Buffalo
Burchell's Zebra
Distinguished from Grevy's Zebra
with smaller body, wider stripes and smaller ears.
I think this is Kirk's Dik-dik.
A small antelope.
A Serval cat.
Similar to the cheetah but much smaller.

This lion was being fed through the fence by hand!!

The zebra, impala, and some monkeys ran free in the sanctuary.
We couldn't get very close to them.
Sausage Tree
These are used in making martinis.
Sister Arach with Zebra
Antelope 3 months old.
Was found abandoned in the wild.
This caretaker cares for the baby and feeds him with
a bottle and sleeps with him. He will prepare him to go into
a game preserve when he is about 5.
