This week we have been several different places and
seen many different sites.
Here are some of them and some
are on the way to Nyabonda for the monthly meeting.

As we were driving on a roadway near town we
saw this building and we have seen many others
with the rocks on the roof -
I assume it is to keep the tin roof on?
Mules are very useful animals and
we see many of them in some areas.
Whatever animal is being moved along the
road we see the "driver" with a nice long prodding stick.
In many rocky areas people will sit for hours striking rocks
with a hammer in order to break them into smaller
pieces to sell. They are sold by the ton.
We have seen men, women and children doing this
and often others are sitting nearby to visit
as they are working.

The helper of the driver often hangs out
to invite potential travelers to take their matatu.
Usually when two are hanging out it is because they are
more than full.

We saw several piki piki loaded like this so
some place ahead there is some construction going on!!

Rice paddies covered with water.
A week later than this we traveled by here and
the whole area was very flooded and the paddies
were totally submerged!!
There had been very heavy rains in this area.
Many donkeys transporting goods.
Now that is a LOT of bananas and
even a passenger!!

We have sometimes seen loads
of rock like this being transported
on the wooden hand driven carts in town.

Roads are shared with hand powered carts
as well as boda boda and piki piki!!
