After our visit with Alex and his family we took
President Okila to his home so we could see his
new "kitchen": a separate building where meals will be prepared
and people can sleep and cows can be housed
until he gets another boma "barn" built.

There is still a lot more mudding to be done.

We were told that mixing some leaves and twigs in
with the mud gives strength to the walls.

the mud was removed from for the walls of the kitchen.
Later he will plant 3 or 4 banana trees in the hole
so they will have deeper root systems.

As long as the core is un-cut when a bush is cut down
a new bush with bananas will grow.

After viewing the shamba and kitchen we were
invited inside for a spiritual message
and we were also served scones and hot chocolate.
This has been a good day of visiting.
